About our Oak Hills sunroom company

Bright sunroom addition with tall grid windows, a vaulted ceiling, and a seating area with a sofa and teal armchairs.

From a restaurant kitchen to building sunrooms

I spent years working the line in restaurant kitchens before I switched trades and learned sunroom building on an installer's crew. I started Oak Hills Sunrooms & Patios here in Oak Hills in 2023, and most of our calls still come from homeowners with a patio or deck they'd like to use more. That makes sense out here, because our summers run hot and dry and our winters can freeze, so a room has to handle both.

The kitchen habits came with me. I read the plan back to you so nothing gets missed, I'll explain the same thing twice if you need it, and if I don't know something yet, I'll say so and find out. I want you to know exactly what you're paying for before we start, and I want your room to stay sealed, drain right and be easy to look after for years. You can see the rest of what we build from our home page.

What you can count on when we build your room

  • The person who quotes your job runs it

I come out to every estimate myself, measure, check the base and the house wall, and stay on your job while our installers build it, so your questions get answered by the person running the work. We keep the site organized the way I learned in a busy kitchen and clean up as we go.

  • An estimate you can check line by line

We help you settle the big choices first, like heated or not and glass or screen, so you aren't paying to open walls back up later. Your estimate then lists what's included, like insulation, heating and cooling work and permits, so you can hold it up against any other bid.

  • Permits and licensing handled

We find out whether your address falls under the county or a city office, and when your job needs a permit, we pull it and set up the inspections so you aren't the one chasing them. California requires a state contractor license for work that needs a building permit or runs $1,000 or more in labor and materials, and we're licensed and insured.
