Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of the Oak Hills Sunrooms & Patios website and any estimate, appointment or project you arrange with us through it. By using the site or contacting us through it, you agree to these terms.

If you sign a written contract with us for a project, that contract governs the work. Where the contract and these terms disagree, the contract wins.

Who we are and what we do

Oak Hills Sunrooms & Patios is a sunroom contractor based in Oak Hills, CA. We design and build sunroom additions, patio enclosures, screen rooms, patio covers and related work for homes in Oak Hills and the cities around it. You can read more about us on our about page or start from our home page.

The descriptions, photos and examples on this site are general information about the kinds of work we do. They are not an offer to do a specific job at a specific price, and the work we do for you is the work described in your estimate and contract.

Estimates and pricing

We give free quotes on site, with no pressure and no obligation to hire us. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure at your house and on the choices you've made about size, materials and features.

Some conditions only show up once work starts, such as a slab, deck or roof connection that isn't in the shape it appeared to be. If we find something that changes the scope or the cost, we'll explain it and get your written approval before we do the extra work.

An estimate is good for the period written on it. Your price is final only once it's written into a contract we've both signed.

Permits and approvals

Some sunroom and patio work needs a permit or inspection from the city or county where your house sits. Your contract says who is responsible for applying for any permit the job needs.

You're responsible for any approval your homeowners association requires and for telling us about easements, property lines or restrictions you know of before work begins.

Scheduling and cancellation

Start and finish dates we give you are our best targets, not guarantees, because weather, permit approvals and material deliveries can move them. We'll keep you posted when a date changes.

If you need to cancel or move an estimate appointment, please call us at (760) 490-0317 as early as you can. Canceling a signed project is handled under your contract and any cancellation rights state law gives you, and custom-made or special-order materials may not be refundable once ordered.

Payment terms

Payments follow the schedule in your contract, including any deposit and progress payments, and any deposit stays within the limits California law sets for home improvement work.

Final payment is due when the work described in the contract is complete, unless the contract says otherwise. Late payments may carry the charges your contract lists.

Warranties and disclaimers

Our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee, and the warranty that applies to your project is the one written in your contract. Glass, framing, roofing panels and other products also carry their makers' own warranties, which come from the maker and follow the maker's terms.

This website is provided as is. We try to keep it accurate and current, but we don't promise that every page is complete, error-free or always available, and we make no other warranties about the site itself.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Oak Hills Sunrooms & Patios is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses that come from using this website or relying on its general information.

Our responsibility for a project is set by your contract and by California law. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that the law doesn't let a contractor take away.

Resolving a disagreement

If something about our work or these terms isn't right, call us first so we can try to fix it directly. Most problems get settled faster with a conversation and a site visit than with paperwork.

If we can't work it out together within 30 days, either of us may take the matter to the courts in San Bernardino County, California, unless your contract sets a different process.

Governing law

These terms and any dispute about them are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one in effect. A change to these terms doesn't change a contract you've already signed with us.

Questions about these terms

If you have a question about these terms, call us at (760) 490-0317 or send us a note through our contact page. Expect a reply within 1 business day.
